U11 Girls Football team narrowly lose out

It was a very close game as we took on Broadlea in the girls cup. They scored first before Amelia equalised with a minute to go to take the game to extra time.

Broadlea scored what proved to be the winning goal and they progress through to the next round. Well done to them!

Team – Leigh, Samantha, Isis, Lylah, Sophie, Pearl, Alisha, Amelia, Grace and Abi.

Girl of the game – Amelia M for an all action performance!

U9 Boys Football Team Victory!

Our under 9 boys football team progressed to round two of the knockout cup with a fantastic win away to Northwood Primary School. The whole team performed superbly on a very muddy pitch but particularly outstanding were Athur in goal, Lucas in midfield, captain Caleb and man of the match William (playing in his first match for the school). The team now eagerly await to find out who we play in round three after Christmas. Well done boys!

Team – Arthur, Harvey, Lucas, Joe, Bhodi, Isaac, Leighlan, Milo, Caleb, William.

From Mark Hill, PE teacher at Northwood –

“Probably one of the best games I have witnessed! Nettlestone’s 2nd goal was a cracker, contender for goal of the season; unstoppable!
Congrats to your team Mr McInnes, really well played. It’ll be interesting to watch how far they go in the competition.”

Girls win AGAIN!
